Safety Measures

a. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

– All personnel involved in the sand stabilization project are required to wear appropriate PPE, including safety helmets, high-visibility clothing, safety shoes, gloves, and eye protection.

– Respiratory protection is provided if there is a risk of inhalation of harmful substances.

b. Chemical Handling and Storage

– Chemicals, including the Soilbind polymer, are stored in designated areas away from ignition sources and incompatible materials.

– Safety data sheets (SDS) for the chemicals are readily available on-site and personnel are trained on their proper handling and storage.

c. Equipment Safety

All equipment used during the sand stabilization process is regularly inspected, maintained, and operated by trained personnel.

– Safety features and guards on equipment are properly maintained and utilized.

– Equipment operators are trained on safe operating procedures and emergency shutdown protocols.

d. Worksite Safety

– Adequate signage and barricades are placed to clearly mark work areas and hazards.

– Proper lighting is provided to ensure visibility and prevent accidents.

– Good housekeeping practices are maintained to keep the worksite clean and free from clutter.

e. Emergency Preparedness

– Emergency response procedures are developed, communicated, and posted on-site.

– First aid kits, fire extinguishers, and emergency eyewash stations are readily available and inspected regularly.

– Emergency contact numbers. and evacuation routes are prominently displayed
